A far-right presidential hopeful in France was captured on video grabbing the neck of a lawmaker at a heated political rally.
The incident happened during an event with Marine Le Pen, the leader of the National Front party. It came a day after two men hit a man wearing a Trump 2020 hat in Paris.
In the video, Le Pen is speaking with Le Pen Raville, also known as Pierre Raville, when Raville suddenly grabs her by the neck, tearing her shirt.
The incident was caught on camera.
“Void! Y’all like me now because I’m going to take you out of the race,” Raville is heard shouting.
The video goes on to show Raville putting his hands on the crowd before being held back by supporters, and then a policeman runs in with a can.
The incident was captured on several cameras at the same rally, where Le Pen was attacked by gunmen on a motorcycle in early March.
Le Pen later said in a statement on Facebook that she was being “blackmailed” by Raville, who threatened the survival of her political movement if she did not support him.
