Cannon, who is a rapper and actor and best known for hosting NBC’s America’s Got Talent, shared a message with his followers on Twitter, saying he believed his son was in a better place. “My family and I are coping as a family in this time of deep sorrow. Please keep us in your prayers,” he wrote.

He followed this with another tweet, saying: “I believe my son Kion [is] in a better place.”
The 6ft 3in TV host and rapper married Mariah Carey in 2008 and welcomed their son Kion James on 6 March last year. TMZ reported that Cannon had taken his baby to the hospital last week, citing reports saying Kion had a collapsed lung and liver.

The site said Cannon’s wife rushed her son to hospital but his organs failed and he died on Monday. His body is being kept in a mortuary to allow Cannon’s family to say goodbye to him privately.
