Even Thanksgiving doesn’t come close to the can’t-get-enough buzz of a royal wedding.
This year, there are three mega-weddings in quick succession: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. And Canada’s Justin Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, who wed in 2003.
Thanksgiving, however, still manages to overshadow all of those.
Tom Parker Bowles, the son of former “Dynasty” star and reality TV star Joan Collins, was on the guest list when Collins’ husband came for a visit this year.
He was invited over for Thanksgiving dinner, along with Princess Eugenie , Princess Beatrice and other members of the family, when they visited him at his home in London.
The end result was that Tom stood in his dining room with a bottle of champagne on standby for the middle of his wife’s family’s dinner, waiting to present his wife with the sweet treat, making it look an awfully lot like he was at the royal wedding.

“I see,” Parker Bowles told those gathered, “there is a red rose on the table, a lot of cakes and breads, jars and jars of cranberries and sugar…Families are special.”
The snapshot was promptly shared on social media, making much of a British couple’s holiday — and something that arguably no one cares about — go viral.
But speaking to the media afterwards, Parker Bowles said he wasn’t happy with the photograph, which “would have been more appropriate (if he brought) my wife a gift.”
He clarified that the champagne bottle was “bought by me two years ago.” He said of his wife: “Of course she asked for that.”

He has two daughters, Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Laura Parker Bowles, who works for King’s College London.
His eldest daughter with his second wife, actress Juliet Stevenson, is actress Cara Delevingne.
