It was the boom and bust of Tiger. Woods, along with his contemporaries, shot impressive growth numbers in terms of tournament victories, but was never able to maintain that success in many years leading up to the 2007 Masters.

As always, Woods is under the microscope with speculation that he may be on the brink of retirement.

However, his agent, Mark Steinberg, has already begun questioning why he would leave.

“It’s just the nature of his injuries. It’s the nature of the modern day player,” Steinberg said in a press conference. “If you’re a young player trying to get on the PGA Tour, there’s no way you can keep winning.”
